About the Tour
On this trip, we will embark on a cultural exploration of the Parvati Valley, where we will visit authentic villages, and explore popular tourist destinations such as Manali and Dharamsala. We will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in different religions, including Sikhism in Amritsar and the Tibetan Buddhist culture in Dharamsala. Our journey will take us through both rural and urban areas, including bustling cities like Delhi and Amritsar, allowing us to interact with locals and gain a deeper understanding of their way of life. Additionally, we will participate in various workshops and enjoy the freedom that India offers.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Colombo


We'll arrive to


Day 2 - New Delhi to Negombo


After landing in Colombo, we will drive to our hotel in Negombo, near the airport, have dinner, and stay overnight at a hotel in Negombo.


Day 3 - Habarana


After breakfast, we will embark on a journey of about 3.5 hours to the city of Habarana. On the way, we will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where young elephants are cared for and rehabilitated before being released back into the wild. Then, we will continue to visit the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, which has been used by Buddhist monks since the 3rd century, showcasing its magnificent beauty.

Day 4 - Dambulla


After breakfast, we will visit one of the ancient wonders of the world called Sigiriya Fortress, located on a stunning mountain formed by volcanic eruption. This fortified palace served King Kasyapa. Then, we will continue to visit the temples located in the Dambulla Caves, considered to be the best-preserved in Sri Lanka, showcasing Buddhist art with over 150 different Buddha statues.

In the evening, we will go on a jeep safari experience at Minneriya National Park.

Day 5 - Dambulla to Kandy


After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Kandy, which was the ancient capital of the kings of Sri Lanka and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Kandy is nestled among green hills and picturesque lake shores. We will visit the Tooth Temple, known locally as Dalada Maligawa, and then stroll through the botanical gardens of Peradeniya, which house, among other things, 300 species of orchids. We will also visit the Gem Museum, which displays the wealth of gemstones carved in Sri Lanka, such as sapphires in various shades. In the evening, we will enjoy a local folk dance performance.

Day 6 - Kandy to Nuwara Eliya


Nuwara Eliya, translated into Hebrew as "City of Lights," is blessed with a comfortable climate and stunning scenery, which is why the British chose to establish a pleasant resort town there in a British style. Among the sites to see in the city are the golf course, the trout breeding site, Victoria Park, and a tea production factory.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya to Bentota


After breakfast, we will head to Bentota, the city of golden beaches, where we can enjoy the tranquility of the sea and warm sand. We will spend the day on the beach, and those who wish can participate in various water sports activities in the area.

Day 8 - Bentota


After breakfast, we will explore the city of Bentota, take a boat ride on the Madhu River amidst green trees and mangroves creating green and unique passages. We will also visit the sea turtle sanctuary where young turtles are kept for a few days after hatching before being released into the sea.

Day 9 - Bentota to Colombo


After breakfast, we will head to Colombo. In addition to being the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo is the country's commercial center, where you can see different architectural styles influenced by the various peoples who ruled it - Portuguese, Dutch, and British. We will visit Galle Face Park, Viharamahadevi Park, the National Museum, see the old Parliament House, and the commercial center of Sri Lanka - Colombo's Twin Towers. There are many shopping centers in the city where you can stroll and enjoy leisure time.

Day 10 - Colombo


Today, we will depart from Colombo Airport.

Comments

1. On some domestic flights, baggage weight allowance is up to 15 kg. Beyond that weight, you must pay access baggage weight directly to the airline at the airport.

2. India is a third world country, part of its beauty lies in the manner and pace of its conduct which is different from what we are familiar with. Please accept this fact with understanding that this is a part of the experience. 

3. We recommend issuing a medical and luggage insurance that includes a cancellation fee insurance. 

4. The itinerary can change at the discretion of the guide/company.

Payment & Cancellations
  • Up to 60 days before the departure date - no cancellation fees will be charged except for flight cancellations according to the airline's regulations. 

  • 30-59 days before the departure date - 25% of the trip cost will be charged. 

  • 14-29 days before departure - 75% of the trip cost will be charged. 

  • 14 days before departure - 100% of the cost of the trip will be charged.
